The Commission and Member States need reliable figures for the measurement of the economic impact of public procurement policy if they are to monitor progress in the functioning of the internal market in public procurement.
This paper presents the initial results of this work for the years 2004-2008. It should be emphasised that all figures are estimates by the Commission Services, based on data from Member States, Eurostat and the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) database. Click here to access the document.
